I have a frustrating problem here. Every time I launch GTA4, it of course, brings up the Social Club window. But the 'Play' button is blanked out, and it says that it is 'Unavailable'. I've tried some fixes, and eventually I wanted to surrender to Rockstar support.
I tried that, and their website does not respond for me. The support website, everything. Doesn't work.
So my question is: How do I fix the 'unavailable' problem, and why isn't Rockstar's websites' not responding? They aren't under maintenance at the moment, and my friends are capable of playing GTA4 online without any problems. Additional information below:
- I'm using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox
- Social Club worked once, then stopped working, after simply exiting the game and restarting the game
- My friends have no problems whatsoever with running GTA4 online, and they say if this problem happens, restart GTA4, but that's not the case for me
- I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
- I bought the game through Steam, and my friends did as well, and as stated earlier, they have no problems with playing multiplayer
- I've tried opening ports that are supposed to be used by Social Club, but that didn't work at all
- I've tried restarting Steam, and my computer multiple times
If you can help me, it will be greatly appreciated!

[UPDATE] THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE FIXED. R* FIXED THE ISSUE. If downloading is slow you may still use torrent or MEGA download
Currently, if you are downloading using the Rockstar (Social Club) download manager, you are downloading the same file over and over again using the filenames of the files it should download. In my case it was x64t.rpf (1,79GB) (and what I see here is that most people have the same problem).
This is also the reason why your progress isn't saved when you shutdown the PC or just close and reopen the GTA Launcher. The download manager sees that the downloaded files don't have the right contents and deletes it. It starts downloading again (the same wrong file).
Current solution: Wait untill this is fixed or download from torrent or equal.
Please check this first by comparing to these file sizes: http://i.imgur.com/vKljVId.png. As an alternative you can try closing the Launcher and reopen it. If it jumps back in progress you are having the same problem.

If you used the MEGA files, unrar them first using the password.
After that, place all files in c:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto V
Run GTAVLauncher.exe. It should see that the download is finished and it will proceed with the setup.
You can test to remove a file from the directory (for instance /x64/metadata.dat). The download manager will download that file. After that you see this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21558454/GTA%20wachttijd.png which means the download is finished. That is what I did.
